Preserving the wedding bouquet

We transform your wedding bouquets into a lasting keepsake using the traditional pressing method. Flower pressing is a practice that dates back centuries, and in our studio, we carefully create contemporary compositions that seamlessly complement a variety of interiors.

The final result of your artwork always depends on your initial choice of flower colors and types for the bouquet. If the bouquet is predominantly white, the finished piece will be monochromatic; if it is colorful, the result will be vibrant and multi-hued. During the pressing process, some flowers retain their perfect structure, while others may change significantly in appearance. Both outcomes are a natural part of the process and cannot be altered.

Gradual color changes over the years are inevitable due to natural oxidation. Proper preservation techniques can significantly slow down this process. Avoid exposing the artwork to direct sunlight (UV), excessively humid environments, or extreme temperatures. The composition and texture remain intact over time, adding unique value to your piece. All frames are handcrafted.

Flower preservation through pressing is a process that can take up to 10 weeks. After drying, your floral artwork is designed and placed into a frame, which requires an additional 4 weeks. The total time until you can expect to receive your finished piece is 14 weeks.

  Interesting facts

The importance of preserving a wedding bouquet as a keepsake is highlighted by the fact that Queen Elizabeth II’s bouquet mysteriously went missing on its way from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace after her 1947 wedding. Following this incident, a new royal tradition was established: every bride at a royal wedding must have a prepared backup bouquet.

Therefore, be sure to book your appointment in advance and preserve your wedding bouquet, transforming it into a contemporary floral composition.
