We conducted a series of workshops with primary school children, who expressed their creativity by creating herbarium artworks that they were delighted to take home. The workshops involved five primary schools: OŠ Šime Budinić Zadar, OŠ Zemunik, OŠ Sutomišćica, OŠ Poljana, and OŠ Pučišća Brač.
The theme of the workshops was cultural botany, with a special focus on Mediterranean plants. Since each plant carries a rich and interesting history, the children had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of plants in a slightly different way. We skillfully combined philosophy, botany, and creativity.

The plants used to create the artworks were:
- Oleander — Nerium oleander
- Dusty miller — Jacobaea maritima
- Wild carrot — Daucus carota
- Yarrow — Achillea millefolium
- Olive — Olea europaea
- Silk tree — Albizia julibrissin
- Bougainvillea — Bougainvillea
